We have found that the most effective way to keep advocates engaged and enthusiastic about our advocacy program is by using an array of incentives such as special product discounts and other exclusive incentives including raffles and giveaways, free stuff, chance to be featured, gift cards and event invitations.
1. Product Discounts
Who doesn’t love discounts and saving money?! Product discounts include offering special discounts to your advocates on a particular or series of products. For instance, your advocate may receive a 20% off discount on their next Amazon purchase up to $100. In addition to this, by participating in the brand ambassador program, you get 20% off for the lifetime of the ambassadorship.

2. Raffles and Giveaways
For every person who completes the campaign whether that is posting or referring friends, they get an entry into a raffle at the end of the month! What this would look like is, you can set up a program where you are giving out monthly rewards and the brand can do a raffle at the end of month.
3. Free Stuff
I think it’s safe to say that ‘free stuff’ is something we all get excited about! When a brand new customer comes in, you can give them something for absolutely FREE (once they complete a campaign). For instance, when a new customer comes in, they join the ambassador program, which puts them into a welcome campaign. If you complete this campaign, we’ll give you a free blender bottle (or shirt, mug, hat, etc, for instance).
4. Chance to be Featured
Naturally, many advocates want to grow their following and they can do so when brands promote their content. You have the power to provide a platform and an opportunity to have these individual stories and posts shared directly on the brands' page!!! This is not only an incredible opportunity, but also exhilarating for people who are trying to grow their following. Advocates love re-promoting to their followers, which is a win-win for everyone!
5. Giftcards
Giving out gift cards can be exceptionally motivating and an easy way to empower advocates to pull the trigger on that hot new product they have had their eyes on for months. Additionally, from an advocacy standpoint, they may very likely post about it as well, leading to a win for all parties involved!
6. New/Exclusive Products
Granting advocates access to new and exclusive products is an incredible and rare opportunity that is not offered to the general public. Salomon, for example, will do a new product launch and they will let their ambassadors know that they are getting early access to a new shoe. Each individual person will then get a code where they can go to a store, use that code and get early access to that hot new item! VIP status!
7. Event Invitation
Hosting events is a great way to get your ambassadors together to share some of their experiences and provide a space which allows others to interact with and get to know each other. These feel like an insider program which has a nice exclusive feel to it. For example, a company did a virtual event and purchased a DoorDash meal for every advocate who attended the event. This brought everyone together to share their feedback, get to know each other, with a FREE delicious lunch! Not only is this a great way to bring everyone together and share feedback and collaborate, but events such as these, increases brand loyalty!
