This article will guide you through configuring up your application form in Roster to provide translations in the languages for which you want to support.

Which content can be translated?

At this time, the campaign title and content within the campaign overview and campaign guidelines tabs can be translated. Email [email protected] if you would like to provide translations for other aspects of the ambassador portal.

Prerequisites

Before starting this guide, be sure to complete the following two prerequisites.

Prerequisite 1

Set up your Weglot account by following the steps in Configuring your Weglot project to provide translations. This will ensure your Roster and Weglot accounts are ready to translate content within the ambassador portal.

Prerequisite 2

If you haven't already, add yourself as an ambassador in the program for which you want to provide translations. It will be necessary later on in this guide to view a campaign directly within the ambassador portal.

Step-by-Step Guide

Open Roster and navigate to the Program Settings of the program for which you want to provide translations.

Open the Integrations tab and enable the Campaigns option.

In a new browser tab, open the ambassador portal. If you aren't already logged in, you can enter your email address to receive a new magic link.

Click on the Campaigns tab and open any active or completed campaign.

You should see the languages switcher in the top-right of the window. If your browser's default languages is English, you should see the U.S. flag as shown below.

If your browser's default languages is one of the languages you added to your Weglot project, you should see the campaign presented in that language.

Open the language switcher and switch to another language.

Once the content on the Overview page is displaying in that language, click on the Guidelines tab to trigger Weglot to translate that copy as well.

Repeat this for each of the languages in the language switcher.

To fine-tune the automatic translations provided by Weglot, open Weglot in a separate browser tab and navigate to your project's translations.

Use the Search option to find specific content you wish to correct.

Making changes to the translated copy within Weglot's editor will be displayed to your ambassadors when they view the portal in that language.

Don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected] if you get stuck at on any step within this guide.
