Encountering issues while connecting with 3rd party social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter? Follow these steps to troubleshoot and ensure seamless integration with Roster:

  1. Verify Admin Permissions:

    • Ensure that you possess sufficient administrative permissions on the respective social platforms to connect 3rd party applications like Roster for the desired social handles. This is crucial for effective social listening.

  2. Navigate to Brand Settings:

    • Access the integrations page within your brand settings to manage and configure connections.

  3. Disconnect Existing Connections:

    • If you've previously linked Roster to a social network, fully disconnect the connection both in Roster and on the social network itself.

    For Facebook and Instagram, visit your business integrations settings on Facebook and remove Roster from the list.

  4. Reconnect in Roster:

    • In your Roster brand settings, reconnect the social network. Be attentive to the permissions being requested and ensure that you grant all necessary permissions for the smooth operation of social listening processes.

Connecting Multiple Brands in Different Roster Accounts?

  1. App-level Permissions:

    • Recognize that, for Facebook and Instagram, permissions are granted at the App level rather than at the individual Roster brand account level. Even if you are connecting brands one at a time, grant full permissions to Roster for ALL Facebook/Instagram pages you intend to connect.

  2. Manage Connected Pages:

    • Once permissions are granted, you'll find a list of pages to which app permissions have been given. Select the relevant page for the brand account you are managing and click "Connect."
