Getting creative with campaigns is one of our favorite things to do so we compiled some creative content challenges for you to consider when launching monthly campaigns to your advocates.

One pro tip to help you tailor numerous creative campaign ideas -- start with your marketing calendar.

  • What are the big events you have during the year?

  • What are your monthly and quarterly themes?

  • When will your new products be released?

Design advocate campaigns that coordinate with your company's marketing calendar. You're welcome to use our Roster Ambassador Engagement Calendar template for organizing.

You can also check out our list of Campaign Ideas for inspo!

SPRING

March: Product Review

  • Launch a campaign tasking your advocates with writing a review online and submit a screenshot in Roster.

April: New Product Launches

Does your brand have any new collection drops coming up this Spring? Utilize your advocates to help promote these new products!

  • Give them early access or exclusive ambassador discount (or both) to get the new product(s) and have them post about it

  • Ask your advocates to post a countdown in their Instagram Stories to the drop and share which product they’re most excited about

May: Get Outside

Temperatures are rising so get your advocates outside! Have them do an outdoor activity (potentially using your product if that’s applicable).

  • Encourage your advocates to pick up trash or do another type of outdoor service! Have them post about it and tag you! Use a hashtag such as “#{your brand name]serves"

  • Send all your ambassadors a branded T-shirt and ask them to go do something outside wearing the t-shirt

SUMMER

June: Referral Challenge

Want a fun challenge to help boost sales? Launch a referral challenge campaign!

  • Launch a campaign and add a task to share their discount code and refer 3 friends. You can offer a fun, summer-themed reward for anyone who shares their code with 3 friends

July: Host a Virtual Event

Grow your ambassador community with things other than social campaigns and sales! Ever thought of hosting an event?

  • Host a virtual activity for everyone to participate in. For example, a cooking class, group workout, trivia night (with prizes woot woot!), happy hour, a private virtual shopping experience, or anything else that could be related to your brand. This is a great opportunity to establish a more personal connection with your advocates

  • Hot Tip: If connecting your advocates to each other is important to you, consider creating an exclusive Facebook Group or Slack Group so they can network, share tips/recommendations, and obsess over your brand together!

August: A Day in the Life of a {Brand} Ambassador

  • Have your advocates post about how they use your product in their daily life! Everyone may have their own use so it will be fun to see everyone in action.

FALL

September: End of Season Sale

  • Have a big sale coming up? You may have your ads and graphics all planned out, but don’t forget to initiate your brand advocates as well! Launch a campaign and encourage them to shop the sale themselves and/or post about the sale to spread the word.

October: Spooky Season

  • Host a virtual pumpkin carving class to help advocates learn an intricate pumpkin carving trick! Have them post about it afterwards and tag your brand.

  • Have a pumpkin decorating contest with your advocates and challenge them to incorporate your brand into their pumpkin decorating. Recognize and reward 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

  • Can advocates incorporate your brand into their Halloween costume? Show them some ideas of how they can and have them post their Halloween branded costume!

November: Giving Back / Gratitude

  • November is a busy month… Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday. Any of these would make for great campaigns. If you’re looking for more of a feel good initiative, you can keep the campaign simple this month by challenging your advocates to share how they are giving back to their community or what they are grateful for.

WINTER

December: Secret Santa / Mug Exchange

  • December is probably the easiest month to launch campaigns that align with your sales or holiday initiatives. To make things extra interesting and fun for your advocates, you could host a mug exchange and invite your program members to opt-in. For those who join, you can randomly assign them another ambassador to send a gift to. Ask them to post about it when they receive the package!
